The Luxury Interior Designer Who Can Read Your Life Through Your Home

Money can buy beautiful things.

But creating a home that actually feels like you? That takes a different kind of vision.

In this episode of Leaders With a Mission, I sit down with interior designer Jamie Blomquist for a conversation about luxury, design, psychology, and the way our homes quietly shape the way we live.

Jamie has a beautiful way of looking at design. For her, it is more than just about choosing the right stone, the right furniture, or the right finishes.

It is also about understanding the person who will live inside that space. How they move through their day. What makes them feel calm. What kind of life they are building. What they want to feel when they walk through the door.

And I think that is something we can all connect with.

Because most of us have had that moment of walking into a place and immediately feeling something. Sometimes it is peace.

Sometimes it is warmth. Sometimes it is inspiration. And sometimes, even in a beautiful room, something feels off.

That is the difference between a space that is simply decorated and a space that has soul.

This conversation opened up so many layers of what “luxury” really means. It is not always the loudest room, the most expensive piece, or the trend everyone is following. Sometimes luxury is having a home that supports your real life. A kitchen that becomes the center of connection. A bedroom that lets you truly rest. A closet that makes your mornings easier. A living room where people naturally want to stay a little longer.

We also talked about the parts of design that people often underestimate: the trust between a client and designer, the importance of understanding lifestyle before making decisions, and why the most beautiful homes are not created by copying what everyone else is doing.

They are created with intention.

And that is what I loved about this conversation. It made design feel less like something distant or reserved for a few people, and more like a reminder that the spaces we live in matter because our lives happen inside them.

Our homes hold our routines, our memories, our families, our quiet moments, our celebrations, and sometimes even the next version of who we are becoming.

And maybe as you listen, you’ll find yourself looking around your own home and asking: does this space reflect the life I’m actually trying to create?
